The government has confirmed that the current Energy Bill Support for businesses will change in April. Under the new scheme, businesses will get a discount on wholesale prices rather than the capped pricing under the present scheme.
The new scheme for businesses (including charities, schools, and hospitals) will run until 31st March 2024. The new scheme will benefit heavy energy-using sectors where the discounts will be larger.
