As with all businesses, the business climate has thrown up a few interesting challenges this year, but there’s still plenty to celebrate at GHM and as always it’s our people, customers and colleagues that have continued to inspire, motivate and laugh with us.
Here are just some of the highlights of the last 12 months at GHM:
Eventtastic
Face-to-face is finally back in fashion and we’ve loved catching up with faces, old and new, at the various events we’ve attended and exhibited this year including the local B2B expos, networking groups and customer events.
Helen & Douglas House Fundraising
In 2023, GHM enjoyed another year of fundraising for our amazing chosen charity Helen & Douglas House. Special mention goes to our 5-a-side Football tournament in September which brought so many of our customers, partners and friends together to raise a whopping £5,000!
Other Special Causes
Outside of GHM, team members achieved many personal goals. Including Shelley, running 60 miles in the June heat in aid of Sands baby loss charity.
GHM acquired The IT Cloud London
In July 2023 GHM announced the acquisition of the IT Cloud and welcomed Matt & Vivien to the team.
Award Wins!
Our dedicated care home division won Best Broadband, Internet and IT Business Services at the Care Sector Awards 2023 and also received a High Commendation Award for Best Innovation at the Care Home Awards.
If that wasn’t enough, GHM were super proud to be finalists at the Comms Business Awards 2023 and we have just been awarded Gold Partner Status from our colleagues at Gamma.
The 2023 Mark Baptiste Award
The Mark Baptiste Award is an award nominated by GHM Directors at the end of each financial year, in recognition and remembrance of one of our original engineers. This year saw Project Engineer, Pete Jeffery receive this very special award.
Special Days Galore
We hosted a street party for St Patricks Day, celebrated our women in tech for International Women’s Day, held a pet photo competition for Valentines Day and donned our kits for Football Shirt Friday in aid of Cancer Research.
Long Service Awards
Keirra celebrated 5 Years at GHM. Her highlight this year was attending the Gamma conference and listening to a motivational speech from Louis Theroux. You can read more here.
