Long service award: It’s 5 years for Keirra!

Our Network Services superstar Keirra is celebrating five years with GHM! Since joining GHM age eighteen, she quickly discovered that tech was her passion…and talent. Here she shares her experience and success, which we hope will inspire others and hopefully encourage more people (especially women!) to think of a career in tech.

Where it all began

Keirra began her GHM journey on the Support Desk, where she logged support tickets and got to know our customers. It was evident from the outset that her communication skills were strong, as was her enthusiasm for the technical aspects of the role, quickly becoming proficient in programming handsets and managing all of our network services installations.

Moving on up

Last year, Keirra transitioned into her new role as Network Services Supervisor within our Project Team. In this position, she coordinates all the installations of our services with suppliers and oversees our monthly billing – a demanding role, but she thrives in it!

When we asked Keirra about what she enjoys the most, she particularly noted her involvement in large installation projects. Recently, she played a crucial role in the roll-out of 41 sites for a single customer. Whilst challenging, she found it immensely rewarding to be a part of the installations and to contribute her valuable ideas to the process.

Recently Keirra has also been managing the training of our new office administrator. She’s loved the training and mentoring aspects and it’s given her the chance to reflect on her own knowledge gained over the years. Keirra’s also an in-demand colleague and is often helping the wider team. It will come as no surprise that she’s made many good friends at GHM along the way.

Last week, Keirra attended her first partner event with our partner Gamma. She says it was great to hear from experts across the industry. The highlight was a fascinating chat from Louis Theroux to the audience…very funny and inspiring.

Don’t forget the baking talent!

When not at work, she finds time for long dog walks, catching up with friends and family, and baking the the odd sweet treat…which thankfully make it into the office sometimes!
