Teams have announced that it is on track to feature mixed reality meetings on its new Mesh platform. The platform has been unveiled at Ignite, Microsoft’s annual gathering of technology leaders and practitioners, and will enable users to share virtual experiences.
The demonstration below shows how it will work:
Microsoft says, “You can feel like you’re in the same place with someone sharing content, or you can teleport from different mixed reality devices and be present with people even when you’re not physically together”.
As both Mesh and Teams both have an emphasis on collaboration, this is the logical next step.
