As we celebrate International Women’s Day, our Sales & Marketing Support guru Sarah reflects on her nearly 5-year journey at GHM!
Who would have thought that I, a woman in her 40s, would take on a role in a new industry? It was the culture at GHM that drew me. The products and services are a business necessity, but it’s how we deliver these, always with the customer central in everything we do.
Transitioning into the tech industry initially felt daunting, but I had transferable skills and was willing to learn new products and services. It’s about grabbing the opportunity to learn, regardless of age and background.
My advice to women is to embrace change, dare to step outside your comfort zone, and never underestimate your own potential. Of course, there will be challenges along the way, but perseverance is the key to success.
Here at GHM, I work with incredible women who continually inspire me to be the best version of myself.
Beyond the confines of the office, it’s all about family life with my husband and two teenagers, hoping Oxford United win and indulging in a well-deserved glass of wine now and then. Oh, and I recently took up running – well, more like a slow jog at a Parkrun event!
